Help to reduce your household waste with these 100% cotton waffle household sponges.
Reusable, washable and handmade by a lovely small UK business. Head in the Woods design and create all their own products with zero waste principles in mind. None of the waste produced by Head in the Woods goes to landfill - they repurpose every single piece of fabric and thread for other projects. Everything is packaged with thought given to being as low impact as possible - from shipping packaging to the simple paper labels on the products. These sponges are a great example of this process – they are stuffed with the organic cotton off cuts from other products, to create as little waste as possible.
Available in two fabric options – we like to use one colour in the kitchen and one in the bathroom.
HOW TO USE:
Use like you would a brush. Rinse and squeeze well after each use and wash very regularly. Not suitable for scouring jobs.
The sponges can be washed at up to 60 degrees and are dryer safe. To get rid of any bacteria build up, your sponges can occasionally be boiled in water for 2 minutes.
Please note that the sponges will shrink after the first wash.
100% biodegradable, simply cut into small strips and put in the compost bin.
Pack contains 2 reusable wipes. Simply pop in the washing machine every so often to keep them clean.
Great little product to replace sponges and dishcloths.
They are well made and they do not feel flimsy or that they will fall apart easy. It maybe slightly harder to clean thin cups but the benefit of being less wasteful outweighs this small point in my opinion.
The idea behind this is great but sponges are bit stiff and too big to properly clean some items.
