I use this bar to make laundry powder and laundry liquid. Both work very well to get the clothes clean. I’m not a fan of the smell at all but that is easily remedied with a few essential oils. A little goes a long way so good value for money.
Thanks for your review of the Marseille soap bar. It's a fab product with so many uses, but the scent does take some getting used to!
Really like this product and it lasts ages. I would recommend using two cloths - one with the soap rubbed in, the other for the fresh water wiping. The only thing "wrong" with it, is it's quite large and you need somewhere to store it, so I've cut it into four a placed into small containers (ex- take away tubs). Great value.
Hi Mike. Thanks for sharing your feedback and great tips. We always love to see that!
Great chunk of soap. Good value for money.
Thanks for your review. We're delighted to hear you love the Marseille soap bar. It is a great size and very multi-functional too!
I am trying to be more eco friendly and decided to switch to soap bars to wash my dishes. The original marseilles soap is brilliant in terms of ingredients and works really well in terms of washing. That said it really doesn't smell nice at all! Like petrol. I asked my mum (who's french and has known the original savon de marseilles) and she laughed and said that yes that's the normal smell of that soap. I'm getting used to the smell and will definitely continue to use soap bars to wash my dishes but I will probably try another brand next time hopping to get a nicer smell.
Hi Isabelle. Thanks for your review and feedback. There is indeed a unique smell from the Marseille Soap. Some people do love it or grow to love it so perhaps that will happen!
Works a treat, and great for general cleaning as well as dishwashing. I'm so happy there is an alternative to plastic packaging.
Thanks for taking the time to review the Marseille soap bar. It's a great multi-use alternative to plastic products, so we're glad you're pleased with it!
