Help to reduce your household waste with these organic cotton fleece, reusable baby wipes. They are so super-soft that you'll want to keep them just for yourself (but check out the super-soft, reusable face wipes here that are also great for that purpose!).
Available in two options:
- Pack of 8 organic cotton wipes finished finished with 100% organic cotton thread - these can be composted at the end of their life
- Pack of 10 organic cotton wipes edged in rainbow stitching - note the stitching is not cotton so needs to be snipped off before composting the remainder.
Reusable, washable and handmade by a lovely, small UK business. Head in the Woods design and create all their own products with zero waste principles in mind. None of the waste produced by Head in the Woods goes to landfill - they repurpose every single piece of fabric and thread for other projects. Everything is packaged with thought given to being as low impact as possible - from shipping packaging to the simple paper labels on the products.
The wipes are reusable - simply add some water and use as usual. Store them wet in a box, or just run under the tap as and when needed. When out and about, carry some wet wipes in a wet bag and carry a spare one for storing the used wipes.
TIP: put 50/50 water and oil in a small spray bottle, shake well and spray on the skin before wiping. It cleans up baby's bum even easier, and leaves the skin soft and moisturized.
HOW TO CARE FOR YOUR WIPES:
Dirty wipes can be stored in any container before washing. If used for dirty nappies, soaking in a nappy cleanser can be useful before washing. The wipes can be washed at up to 60 degrees, hanging them to dry is recommended.
Note slight shrinking will occur after first wash.
I use them for clear ups after feeding (baby-led weaning is slightly messy!). Before I was using numerous disposable baby wipes, now I just use the one reusable on baby and high chair. It's easy and the material is soft on little one.
