Banish the cling film, zero the plastic, bin the tin foil and help reduce the single use plastic footprint by using these attractive bees wax food wraps which fully biodegrade after a year of daily use. Great for keeping leftovers fresh, bringing your picnic items out, reducing packaging when you shop, kids lunch boxes, on the go snack packs for busy bees and so much more.
Made with 100% natural ingredients from Oakdale Bees' own lovely British bees wax, they are a great alternative to plastic clingfilm for food storage and are 100% plastic free. They keep food fresher for longer. The food does not sweat like it can in plastic but the natural cotton and bees wax lets the food breathe.
Note that fabrics may differ to the picture shown.
Large: Measuring 30x35cm, this large wrap is perfect for sandwiches, cheese, fruit and covering bowls.
Extra large/bread: Measuring 40x50cm, this extra large wrap is perfect for bread, or any other wrapping needs. Why not use it with tray bakes or platters? Can even be cut into smaller sizes if preferred.
Use the warmth of your hands to seal your wrap.
With some simple care, your wrap will last a year or more:
Rinse under cold water after use and allow to dry between uses
- Keep away from heat
- Use the wraps on all food items, but avoid raw meats and fish
- After use, you can cut your wrap into small strips and use around kindling as firelighters. Compostable.
Passionate about the environment and all things to do with bees, Oakdale Bees handmake natural, eco hive products including Beeswax wraps, wood, leather and bowl polishes, and beautiful candles. British ingredients and eco packaging are sourced from ethical suppliers which are centric to their philosophy. Their hives are kept in four acres of wild meadow fields bordering Royal Windsor forest. Their motivation for starting an apiary, apart of course from their passion for bees, was to do their bit to abate the alarming decline in the species and the environmental eco system they support.
