A natural plastic-free shampoo bar that smells gorgeous!
Superfly Soaps are handmade in Kincardine, Scotland by an environment loving foodie, resulting in a range of natural soaps that are (almost!) good enough to eat! Made using a traditional cold process method (excluding the animal fats that were traditionally used), all soaps and shampoo bars are cured for around 5 weeks so you get a long-lasting bar.
This shampoo bar is available in various delicious fragrance options, or unscented. Perfectly paired with the conditioner bar.
Look after your bar to ensure it lasts as long as possible. Keep it out of water when not in use, a soap dish or wire rack in your shower is ideal. The bars are big enough that you can cut them in half, keeping some dry for later meaning they will last even longer!
Superfly Soaps have been awarded Plastic Free Champion status from Surfers Against Sewage. Superfly Soap products are produced in a nutty environment so please bear this in mind for any nut allergies.

The sweet citrus shampoo is lovely great for oily hair, lathers really well and like the rest smells divine.
Hi Rebecca, thanks for taking the time to review the shampoo bar. We love it too!
At first I wasn't sure, however the thought of been part of taking care of our oceans spoke louder than this. Now I absolutely love my bar. I recommend highly to anyone trying bars for the first time, use superfly. At first your hair will feel totally different whilst rinsing especially because there's no horrible chemicals, so this will feel strange. When I I troduced the conditioner bar it lifted my hair. I've very fine light wispy hair and these products are fantastic for my hair type. My hair has a more natural curl, and easy to manage. I love these products. 💚
Hi Clara, thanks for reviewing your Superfly Soap shampoo bar and conditioner too. It can take a bit of time for your hair to get used to a natural hair wash but we agree the benefits are so worth it! Glad you love it so much.
Love this shampoo bar used along with mango conditioner bar.
I have been using shampoo bars a while and these ones are awesome my hair feels, clean light and bouncy.
Quick delivery and good quality product.
Hi Joanna, thank your for your review of the mango shampoo bar. This is one of our favourites too!
I was eager to try a shampoo bar, but was also a little apprehensive. This is amazing. My hair is so soft and light after just a few washes. My hair is bleach, but this is the first time it's felt healthy.
Ordering and delivery process was excellent. Thank you.
Hi Helen, thanks for your great review! We're delighted the shampoo bar is working so well for you, and also that you enjoyed your shopping experience with us! Thank you.
As someone who's used shampoo bars for a while I thought making the switch to a fully natural one without SLS would be easy. I knew about the transition period, but it was certainly a little more difficult this time around.
Packaged in a lovely eco-friendly way, very prompt delivery even with lock down restrictions.
If you haven't used shampoo bars before you'll be in for a steep learning curve. You'll find the first few tries you'll probably use too much and your hair will feel a little firm or greasy, like you're wearing hairspray after skipping wash day. This is also because my hair was trying to balance out it's natural oils.
Eventually, I found rubbing the bar in my hands, then rubbing my hands into a lather. I could rub from root to tip across my hair, give it a little massage, and then comb it out with the water running. It took around 2 weeks for my hair to adjust to a point where my hair didn't feel a little greasy after washing, this is probably helped by learning the right amount for my hair (and waiting until my hair adjusted before using the matching solid conditioner). As someone who washes their hair every day, I've found that washing my hair less actually helped this process. Now I'm washing my hair every 2-3 days instead and brushing through my natural oils once or twice a day.
My hair is significantly softer, and my curls have come back. I'm definitely spending a little more time in the shower but it's nice to put care, effort, and time into my hair. If anything, lock down was definitely the time to go through the transition period! No one got to see my transition hair, thankfully.
A massive plus to these bars as someone who has allergies to lavender, and shea butter (an ingredient in SO many shampoo and conditioner bars) is the limited ingredients. My hair, and skin are thanking me for this.
Two - three weeks in my hair feels soft, shiny, and curly! Don't think I'll be going back, I love these bars and The Green Turtle!
Hi Aaron, thanks for your lovely feedback! We’re happy you’re so pleased. Thanks also for the great tips for using the shampoo bar. It can take a couple of weeks of transition but we agree is definitely worth persevering!
